About the creator:

I(Sarah Mitchell/aka Akane) was born on April 11th, 1992. I've loved anime since preschool(good times) when I discovered Sailor Moon. In 4th grade I discovered what the style was actualy called and attepmted to draw it. I started out by getting books from the library and tracing the pictures until I could sort of do it on my own. I kept drawing and in 5th/6th grade decided that I would be a pro manga creator when I grew up(I still am foo!). So I kept drawing until I actually got good and started making my own comics(just pencil sketches). Within the past year I have been inking them and posting on the web. Finally Totally Emo was born when I discovered the world of hot emo boys and shonen-ai(it became sort of a combo of the 2).

The birth of Totally Emo:

One day I was sitting in Science class and it was veeeeery boring. So during the nature video I started drawing. Of course I was drawing the 2 boys I had crushes on in anime-ish style. Suddenly I got the impulse to make a comic about them! Which is kinda dumb when you think about it...but hey! Its a start! So I talked to some of my friends about it and they thought it was a good idea too. So when I got home I drew out a cover page(without planning story line characters or anything, just a random cover page) and inked it(it is the current cover pag actually heheh). I then sort of planned out the sotry line around that.
